Collaboration vs Competition
“Cadavre Exquis” by Yves Tanguy, Joan Miró, Man Morise y Man Ray, 1926-27, MoMA
If you hang out with me too long, I’ll brainwash you into believing in yourself and knowing you can achieve anything. – The Good Quote
I refuse to compete with people I work with. I refuse to compete with my friends. Honestly, it just doesn’t make sense to me.
I don’t understand those who need to shrink others to feel big. I don’t see the point in all the secrecy, or the obsession with doing everything solo.
Maybe it’s because I’ve got two younger sisters, and sharing was the first word I learned.
Creativity isn’t a one-person act. It’s never been. It’s richer, braver, and far more powerful when it’s shared.
One person’s ideas will always have limits. Shared ideas? They’re endless.
And no—less isn’t always more. Sometimes more brings the magic.
So if we’re in something together—whether it’s a project, a friendship, or just the same path—you’re not my rival. I’ll celebrate your wins, big or small, and I’ll back you to become everything you’re meant to be.
